Q on load data infile??

Why would tab delimited data load and not comma delimited data load? Is there a way to specify the delimiter?

I tried for hours to load data that was in a csv format and repeatedly received warnings...but when I used tabs, the data went in fine.

I haven't seen this in any forums...did I do something wrong with my tables?

The default for LOAD DATA INFILE is that fields are terminated by a tab. You can change this with :

FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','

as an option...of course you can change that to whatever you want...

Thanks...I just assumed that comma delimited would be the default.

I have used it before and there were no problems, so I don't know what I did to this table to make it different?
