How to encrypt password?

Hello ,

I have done simple database access like adding and deleting records and view table.

You can go to http://www.tsldesigns.com/php/login.htm

Now how do I encrypt the password entry so that users only see ******* when it is typed?

Any link or suggestion will be helpful.

<input type="text" name="password" ...>

Diana,

Just be aware that Andriy's soltuion does NOT encrypt anything ... it only causes the browser to "hide" the password by showing **** as the user types. If you want encryption, you will have to use the https protocol, or some sort of Java applet in the web page itself to encrypt the password before it get transmitted over the wire.

Thanks for your feedback...yeah that is what i wanted, to hide the password....not encrypt it...LOL

sorry for the misuse of terms...but i got it anyway.....great minds think alilke LOL
