edit when password is correct

hi

i have this little project with our class organization, a membership form is filled up with each member. Now when all is filled up, members can log in and edit their own corresponding profile only when there password is the same at the time they filled up/sign up the data on the form.

With the little knowledge on php/mysql i really need your help guys.

So PHPbuilder still does not check for unique usernames. How cute.

WHat you are looking for is authorization, and there are a gazillion examples of that all over the net. I suggest you start by reading the examples in the articles section.

www.hotscripts.com and look under scripts and look under authorization/validation; Perdue has a good article on this website too. he uses md5 with an internal hash. easy and efficient security.
