Password issue...

Hi.
I don't know why but is this creates password problems.

GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE
ON db.*
TO user IDENTIFIED BY 'pass';

I cannot log in with "pass" but I can login by not putting anything into the password input. This is driving me crazy, is there an alternate way to create new users or is there a way to fix this...

What is the error you get when you put something in the password input?

Its the "Could not login test@localhost using PASS = 'YES'"

You know, the usual MySQL error when doing it from localhost

In that case you should define the hostname from where the user can logon:

GRANT bladebl ON table.* TO user@hostname IDENTIFIED BY 'password';

Check the manual for common pitfualls using grant.
