PHP Forms that update themselves

I am having trouble with a php form that will update its self. I am rather new to PHP and still confused by a lot of it. I have made a form that when you fill it out will post some of the information on the page. However, when the information gets posted i cant get it ro stay there and if someone else fills out the form it overwrites. How do i get the PHP to log in a file without overwriting whats already there?

I hope you're not doing what you say you are doing. Where are you storing the posted information? Not in the .php file itself???

You might be able to get close to what you want by writing to some other log file, but you're going to have all kinds of problems with multiple updates occuring at the same time. Databases have built-in capabilities to handle inserts, updates, deletes, etc. That's why they were invented.
