insert milliseconds

i want to insert a record which is having dateformat

'YYYY-DD-MM HH24:MI:SS.nnn'

where .nnn is the milliseconds

Can somebody tell me the right way to do it.

That depends 100% on wether your database even supports a timestamp with milliseconds...
