Need help setting up MS Access connectio

Hello all,

I have a bit experience with PHP and MySQL, but currently I need to build a small application in php that accesses a Access DB, I know, it's terrible, I don't like Access either, but the client demanded it to be access, so I'm kinda stuck here. Anyone who can help me out ?

So, not an easy job.
You could use a TDS (FreeTDS for example). It's quite fast, but when you get "heavy" record it may crash. --> avoid
You could use an ODBC driver. I'm gonna test the easysoft bridge. Hard to configure and a little bit slow. But very expensive.
* For the rest ... move to mysql !!!

Sorry, I've got the same problem and tht's the conclusion of 1 research's month.

You can easyly access MS Access Data from PHP with an ADODB connection...take a look at:

They will answer all your questions....

Ok, I used to the ADODB connection and it seems to work correct, if it was up to me I would use MySQL aswell .. but sometimes people ask specific things I can't work around ... a shame I couldn't convince them to switch to MySQL
