error call to undefined func ocilogon

I have installed PHP4 in Windows'98 and
have Oracle8i as backend.
when calling ocilogon() from PHP script i
have received error of call to undefined
function ocilogon().
Any help will be appreciated.

You have to state:

extension=php_oci8.dll

in your php.ini

I have already added
extension=php_oci8.dll
in php.ini
But I still recieve this error message.
I have searched for php_oci8.dll in my disk
but there was no such file.
Please let me know how to compile PHP4 with
Oracle8i in Windows98,then only the extension file php_oci8.dll will be created.

Sorry, I don't use PHP under Windows, I only know this hint: You have to install Oracle Client on your machine!

In addition, I strongly recommend swicjing to Linux/Unix, I mean you couldn't be earnest, when you say, that you want to do serious PHP develompment unter win98!
