SELECT count(search_table.word) as score, search_table.qid FROM search_table, Company WHERE search_table.qid = Company.CompanyID AND Company.ActStatus = '1' AND search_table.word IN($querywords) GROUP BY search_table.qid ORDER BY score DESC limit 10,10

this is my query. What i need to know is can i do a where clause that limits the results to the ones that return a count of 2 or more.
mysql 3.22.26a DB version.

I haave fiddled with lots of things in this query to see if i can only get ones with score of 2 or more but it never seemed to do anything.

Any help be much apreciated thanks

I assume you've tried WHERE score > 2?

Also, try re-evaluating it - ie:
WHERE count(search_table.word) > 2

The other question is, do you actually need the score or not? The query might work if you leave the score out of the field list, but just include it in the where clause.

Also, do you need to GROUP BY on the search_table? Quite often that can screw up aggregate functions like COUNT().

Also, if the machine is under your control, try upgrading to the latest version of MySQL which I think is 3.23.49 at the moment...

You can add a HAVING clause to return only the records that have score>2:

SELECT .... ORDER BY score DESC HAVING score>2
