incrementing dates in Javascript

Hi,
I have a day, say Mon which is 2(sun=1 and sat=7). what i wanted is, given a day say, Mon, i want to get the date of the immediately following Monday.
eg. today being wednesday, if i choose a wed from a combo, then the date of the next wednesday should be shown.

Please help.
