Select data from two databases

I have two tables in two different databases on two different servers in two different states. Is there a way to left join one of the tables to the other on thier common field id. I know how to do this if they are both in the same database.

In Mysql I don't believe it\'s possible. If you\'re using PHP, you\'ll need to code 2 separate connections / queries.

In Oracle (and I think DB2 although memory is a little sketchy), you can. In Oracle you need to create a remote database link.

Don\'t know about Postgress.
