Large Mysql Resultset

Hi,

I am a running a mysql query that fetches a result set of about 800 records.(First name and last name). Is there any way I can store the resultset and refer to it when ever I needed?.

Platform : Free BSD/PHP4/Mysql.3.23

Any help/insights would be highly appreciated.

what if someones name changes, you are going to update 2 tables?

basically, with 800 records, just make the query every time you need the data.

See if a HEAP Table does what you need. It's a temporary table that's always kept in memory.
