Can someone please help me with desiging tables for a e-commerce project.
I need help with categories and product tables.
Here is a caretgories table which is obviously not normalized.
CategoryName SubCategory SubCategory2
CatName1 Subcat1,2,3.. one,two,three.
CatName2 Subcat2,3..
CategoryName (main category) can have more than one SubCategories. SubCategories may or maynot have SubCategories.
And for products I need to associate products with each category.
When I select product, it should be able to give me categories associated with it. If the product is associated with SubCategory2, it should be able to give me SubCategory name and CategoryName as well.
I've been working on this for few days not and not able to come up with a solution that works.
Can anyone please help me?
