Mysql compiled with PHP?

Howdy Folks,

I recently installed Red Hat 7.2 that comes with PHP but it seems as though the MySQL option is not compiled with PHP. I've installed MySQL now, but I'm wondering if there is some way for me to add the MySQL component to PHP without having to recompile PHP with the MySQL option.
