Finding redundant data

I have three tables
1) RESOURCE Contains details about resources
most important columns (resource_id, title, description)
2) CATEGORIES Contains details about categories these resources can belong in
most important columns (category_id, parent, title)
3) CATEGORIES_RESOURCE -Defines the relationship between the resources and the categories
columns(resource_id, category_id)

What I am trying to do is find entries in the resource table that haven't been associated with a category yet. I thought this would be simple but haven't come up with a solution as of yet, anybody got any idea?

select RESOURCE.*
from RESOURCE left join CATEGORIES_RESOURCE on RESOURCE.resource_id = CATEGORIES_RESOURCE.resource_id
where CATEGORIES_RESOURCE.resource_id is null

That should work (even in mysql)
