MySQL Field names

Do the field labels in MySQL case sensitive meaning do the have to be lowercase? Is the a limit to how many characters that can be in a field label? I have a MySQL table and I am having trouble importing a text file and I double-checking everything. Any help would be great.

Yes, field names are case-sensitive.
lowercase is the easiest way...

Field names can get a lot of characters. Refer docs for details.
But pregnant short names are better than romans.
LOAD DATA INFILE is useful for importing text-files. CHeck out for the usable formats with LOAD DATA INFILE...
