how can i divide query results

hi
i have a problem regarding resultset. suppose that when i pass a query to like :
$query="select * from table";
odbc_exec($conn, $query);
now suppose that there are 200 records in my table . so i want to show records in different pages. means from 1 to 50 records on page 1 and 50 to 100 on next page and so on. what should i do ???

tell me the solution for databases like (MS Access, MS sql server or MYSQL).

why don't you people try to search a bit on the forum's old post. This question has been asked on a million times and you could get the result very eaisly after trying a bit.

anyway .. did you ever used LIMIT in your select statement ??

use LIMIT and the problem is solved..

but i think limit is used just in MySql database but i want to use this with MS Access and MS SQL Server.
how can i divide records then ???
