im pretty new to this and i made a form in himl to let people to log into my site but i need to make a script i think its like /cgi-bin/ to for the different log in names how do i go about doing this

You are going to have to articulate your problem a little more clearly. Are you asking what to do with the data from your login form? Or are you asking how to verify the login data is correct? Either way, these are very basic questions that have been asked a million times on these forums. Perhaps you should browse and read through them for a while. You will learn quite a lot that way.
