Move database to new server

Dear all,

I have installed the new Redhat 7. server. Since there are many data in the mysql databases of old linux server. Please give me some advice of how to migrate all the data from the old mysql server (Red hat 6.0) to the new one, thanks in advance.

Can you take the server down? If so, why not just perform a mysqldump?

Dump all data for your database and then create the database on the new server and load in the dumped data.

If you use the '-e' option with mysqldump the dump and insert with be MUCH faster.
