simple form viewing question

I want to view the contents of a table within the corresponding form. I know you can echo the variable but how do you get the contents of the table into that variable and then search through the tables contents...

(ex. a <- or -> button?)

Connect to the DB and do a select with a limit clause to give you only the rows you want. Then for your <- and ->, change your limit clause to reflect the rows you want so that when you click the buttons, the select query is passed the proper limit parameters.

I am sorry... I don't understand. I know that if I do this:

<TD colspan=1 nowrap>Manhole Up:
<input name="manholeUP" type="text" size=14 maxlen=16 value="<?php echo $manholeUP;?> "> </TD>

php echo $manholeUP; that it should print out what I have in that variable. Well, how do I transfer a single record into that part of that variable?

Thanks for getting back to me... sorry I can't explain this well. Let me give you an overview of what I want to do:

I want to be able to update/add new records to an HTML form and be able to scroll through the current records. Have you seen the forms that are created in access? That is what I want mine to look like. I am new to PHP and mySQL, I am coming from access, so all of my ideas might be a little skewed.

So far I have been able to query the database get the records that I want and display them on the form but they are just on there... not in text boxes or anything. I don't know how to do this and I am nearing my wits end. 😉
