setting permissions on host

Hi guys.

I was wondering if someone could explain to me what I have to do to get a mysql hostname setup so that it can be accessed remotely. I've been told that the hostname is there and I just have to set the correct permissions on it via phpmyadmin.

Currently I can see 2 entires in the users section of phpmyadmin. They are
as follows:

edit delete grants xxxhostnamexxx.com any no No preivileges

edit delete grants xxxhostnamexxx.com root no Select Insert Update
Delete Create Drop Reload Shutdown Process File Grant References Index Alter

What do I need to do to make it so I can access the mysql server remotley
via this hostname??

Start by reading the mysql manual:

read this, don't try to use a 'quick and dirty' method, and definately don't go trying things out without knowing what you're doing!
