could osmbody please give me simple example of how to pass variables from one php script on one page to another php script on another page

$var="some data";
?>

then at the other page get it by using:

---page2.php---
$gotIt=$HTTP_GET_VARS['send'];

Oopps... should have completed the
<a href blah ... blah ... tag. You should know that, right? =)

it kinda works but the href only makes a href on the next page instead or passing the variable in the url box. if i click on the href it then does what it should any ideas??

Hi Chris;

May be our problems were not the same. My problem was:

I have a form with option menu. I want to display all customers in Country X. When I select Country X and submit the request, I get the result displayed next to the form. But I want the printable format with out the form. I have used what Scoppc sent you to transfer the value of variable which is unique for each country to another file(printable version), which is displayed on separate page without the form.

If this interests you I can send you the source code.
