Premissions in MS Access

I have a data base that I used a few years ago that was created by one of the It people where I was working at the time. I now wish to use it again and the error message I get is

You do not have the necessary premmisions to use the *.mdb file Contact the system admin.

How does one get around this problem??

Try to copy and paste it somewhere else. Even call it something different. Worked for me once.

Thanks for that tip however I still seem to have the same problem. Is there not some software taht will crack this problem like cracking Passwords etc
