I know PHP can store and access some information in a TEXT file by across the MYSQL server...
and MYSQL can store &.. the information in a table.

So what are the major difference between PHP and MYSQL..?

You are comparing apples with Oranges. PHP is a dynamic scipting language and MYSQL is database software used for almost exlusive data storage. I think what you really are asking is what is the advantage of a database?
