PHP BLOB/TEXT

Hi,
i implemented a small messenger system in my site, where users can exchange messages, or tips !!

the data is saved as TEXT on the MySQL server, but i can not diaply t anyway !!

what am i mising??
when i open the MYSQL with a viewer it just says BLOB/TEXT, but retriving it seems impossible !!

it is addslashed, cleaned code in the DB there!!

It may be better to save data in text format therefore you will be able to retrieve it the way you are going about it now.
