Loop and SQL query

Hi there,

A form sends these variables from a form to my adjustpage:
$nr1=....
$nr2=....
$nr3=....
..
..
..
$nr10=..

so for updating this into my db I wrote this:

for ($i=1; $i <= 10; $i++)
{
$query = "UPDATE table SET
nrnow='$nr'+'$i';"
}

where nrnow='$nr'+'$i' becomes $nr1 in the first loop and nrnow='$nr'+'$i' becomes $nr2 in de second loop and so on.....
But that does not work. Is this what I want possible in a SQL-query? How should I solve this?

Not exactly sure what you're after...maybe this will help?

$query="UPDATE table SET ";
for($i=1; $i<=10; $i++)
{
$col="nr".$i;
$query.="$col='".${$col}."', ";

}
$query=substr($query, 0, -2)." WHERE id='some_id'";

print($query);

I've done it this way:

for($i=1; $i<=10; $i++)
{
$col="nr".$i;
$query="UPDATE table SET nrnow='$col'";
}
