has anybody worked with postgreSQL and php together.or could u recommend any sites where i can find the code for shopping cart or any other big,good example demostrating the use of php with PostGres

I'm currently working with PHP & Postgres, although not in a comercial area. I don't know of any sites that specifically talk about PHP & Postgres, most of them talk about MySQL. But everything is basically the same except for the functions you call for database access and queries. And the fact that you have a larger subset of the SQL92 standard to work with.

We have some customers (naturally) that are using PostgreSQL with PHP. We are a strictly PHP/PostgreSQL web hosting company so naturally we would have these clients.

PostgreSQL is being used by the PostgreSQL dev team themselves in managing their archives with over 4 MILLION records. With 7.2.1, they are seeing very optimized performance (I'll try to find some documentation on this).
