SQL Query Gone Crazy...

Hey guys,

I am using PostNuke for a local music and art portal that I am developing for the SLAM (Support Local Art and Music) in Kansas City and need a little help with a SQL query problem.

I have apart of the application that allows someone to submit a news artcile and as these people will have never heard of HMTL, I wanted to try to provide them with a WYSIWYG Editor versus simplly a text box to create their article.

works fine, but I want the WYSIWYG Editor to takes its place. Someone built just a thing an dI have tried to implement it, but the application does not query the DB correctly and there are no topics in the drop down Topics box as there are in the text based version at the link above, which you can see here

I have created .txt files for each of these which can be accessed here

The problem is in the SQL Queries for the Topics. the text editor works fine, so I just need those ssame SQL queries in the WYSIWYG file, but every time I have tried it return crazy errors.

Any help would be most appreciated!

How about you echo out the queries which go bad and try to manually enter them into the database. Then see the errors. It might even look obvious once split out.

Or you could post a working and non working example rather than asking us to trawl through huge files. Great if you're a post-nuke expert but....

Thanks so much for responding.

You will need to login at the top right-hand side with -

Username - susan
Password - vvswdgtb

Then when you have logged in, click on Submit News in the left menu.

You will see the drop down box with the Topics that are pulled from the database.

No, if you go to -

you will see the WYSIWYG Editor, but there are no topics in the drop down box, which is a result of a wrong SQL query obviously.

Honestly, I am not a programmer and can fix things if I know what I am doing (PHP, etc.) but as far as SQL stuff, I am lost!

Refer to these two files again for reference.

If this is too much, I completely understand!
