complex select query help?

Hi, I have a question on a complex select query...

Say I have 2 tables looking like this:

table1 : id, user
table2 : group, user

Now I want to select all the id's from table1 where table1.user is table2.user from a certain group...

I hope the idea got across.

select table1.id
from table1, table2
where table1.user=table2.user
and table2.group = '$group_im_interested_in';
