hi,
I don't fully understand indexing yet,
but I have say two tables in mysql one table is say "quotes" and the other is "stuff"
now in the table quotes i have a field called equipment which I want referenced back to the field id in the table stuff in order to bring up the full name of what the id is representing.
ie
table quotes has the following fields
id, person, equipment, date
and table stuff has these fields
id, equipment
what i want is for equipment in quotes to bring up the info info stored in the equipment field in stuff referenced by its corresponding id.
can some one point me in the right direction to do this... also if it helps I will be bring this info out with php on a web page.
