Formated text in (MEMO)

I am putting together a FAQ page for my company. I want to put it all in a mysql table for ease of maintenance. My problem is that the faq are formatted ie:

The Question.... - field(question)

aaaaaa aaaaaa aaaaaa aaaaaa
1.) aaaaaa aaaaa aaaa aaaaa
2.) aaaaaa aaaaa aaa aaa aa aa -field(memo)

(aaaaa being representative of words) Is there a way to keep the formatting in a memo field?

wrap the memo text between some <PRE> </PRE> tags.

or use nl2b() & replace() to give the text a custom format.

Thank you very much for your reply. Would it be possible to give me an exapmle? I wasn't able to find a referance to n12b() in the mysql docs and am wondering how to apply it. Thanks for your patience and help.
