BLOB ??

Hello all

If I upload a excel/access file to a BLOB colum of a MySQl db can i show it as a link to download ?

best just to have a text link to the file stored in a folder...don't put in the DB...

then

<a href = "ftp.mysite.com/$pathtofile">Click to download file</a>

Yes but the file will be available for all to download then. I need it more secure than that
