MySQL answer to the top statement

Hi folks

I have little problem and that is that i want the same function in MySQL that you have in e.g in MS SQL ant that is the TOP statement.

I have a query like this

select * from tblNews

And there I have my all news articles and I only whant to present one, and that is the newsest publised newsarticle.

In MS SQL i can use
select * TOP 1 from tblNews order by date DESC

Do you guys understand my issue ?
