exclude dates from an other database

i have a table table_1 that looks like this

example for table_1:
id name age
1 Bruno 10
2 Benno 11
3 Otto 11
4 Heinrich 12
5 Wolf 10

then i have an other table_2 that looks like this
id exclude_age
1 11
2 10

now i need a query that returns:

table_1.id table_1.name table_1.age
4 Heinrich 12

that means all the lines of table_1 where age is not listed in table_2.exclude_age

i have no idea how this could work, please help, cu schmitty

uups, i mean "dates from an other table" in the subject

select * from table2 where age not in
(select exclude_age from table_2)

that's what i tried first, but it dosn't work, it returns "You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'select exclude_age from table_2)' at line 1."

i'm using mysql 3.23.49

what is my mistake?!?
