We have Progress 8.3 database here and some users working with it. I'd like to be able to get data from the tables via PHP. I have read using ODBC solves that problem. My problem is there is no free ODBC driver for the Progress of that version (8.x).
I've done some research. I have found 3 companies actually selling the ODBC drivers; except they always sell the whole bundle that contains several other (like 10) ODBC drivers and we cannot afford to pay this much. We are willing to pay as much as $100.
Now this problem is not very pressing so I'd like to know if there is or will be an access to Progress database from PHP in the near future.
