Editing Drop Down Lists

Hey... I got this script which shows in a form (editing page) a drop down list with 2 options, male and female. What I want is when someone wants to edit it, it will so the value they passed when they registered in my site. I know this must be done with a loop but I don't know how...

I'll be very greatful if you could help me 🙂

just use an if then statement
