hello,
I'm writing a small program with php and mysql. It will be used to maintain our internal sales order.
My question is that the system is used by several sales persons they have same right to modify some sales orders.
When sales person B has to change something in the database, she don't know that sales person A has reviewed the same data and are doing the modification to the same data record. No matter who review and modify the data first, the later modification will always overwrite the first one.
This situation is really a trouble in a multi-person multi-group web application. Is there any way that the system will detect and notify the later user that the record is checkedout for updating and now it is for reviewing only, no modification allowed?
Thanks
