PHP Truncates MS SQL Outputs

I am running MS SQL 2000 on NT 4. I have just installed the latest MDAC.

I cannot get more then 255 characters to be displayed by a varchar or char. Even though the varchar sizes are 4000+

I can view the all of the characters when I use Query Analyzer.

I have a feeling it has somehting to do with MySQL only allowing 255 characters in MySQL. And PHP's MS SQL and OBDC commands inheriting this functionality and only allow the varchar and char to output more the 255 characters.

Can anybody give me a solution. Will upgrading to the newest version of PHP help me.

CHAR and VARCHAR is only <=255 characters. It's not MS SQL, it's not MySQL, it's SQL itself. Use TEXT or BLOB to store long texts.
