Sorting array in reverse domain

Hi, just some questions.

Does anyone have any idea on how to sort a file containing email addresses in reverse domain.

i.e.
for a list of
[e-mail]
[e-mail]
[e-mail]
[e-mail]

into

[e-mail]
[e-mail]
[e-mail]
[e-mail]

Just the algorithm should be sufficient, no need to include the code..i'll try to figure it out myself..

How fast does this need to operate? Can you create a permanent email_by_domain column that you then index? If so, just split() the email address on the at-sign and reassemble it in the desired order. Then store this in the email_by_domain column.

hmm haven;t thought of it that way. Will try to do it. Actually, this is for the majordomo files. Anyway, I've discovered that bulk_mailer post-sorts the lists files and sends chunks of the mail in parallel....so i gues i dont need to sort the email address after all..
