browser-based administration

Hi,

I want to be able to manage my web site off-line through a web browser on a replicated copy that I can publish to my site once per week. My hosting company offers PHP and MySQL and I\'ve got a copy of Access on my local computer.

Can someone help me with some suggestions on how i can achieve this?

Just a few more specifics would be a help. You mention that your host supports php/mysql. Great, but are you using them?

If yours is a flat html site, then something like Dreamweaver will allow you to maintain a local copy ofyour site and publish it whenever you like. Is this what you need?

If you need to synchronise local and remote versions of a database generated site, then there's going to be a little more work involved...

I'm not quite sure, I'm new to PHP...

I would like to use PHP and Access to create a browser based interface so that I can add, delete and amend pages to a replicated copy on an adhoc basis throughout the week off-line on my computer. Once a week I would like to export the updated contents of the Access database to a MySQL database on my virtual host, where I will use PHP to retrieve the contents for use in my web pages.

Should I be reading up on PHPlib?
