moving data from Oracle to MySQL

does anyone know of an existing script that will facilitate the transfer of table data from Oracle to MySQL? I have a lot of information to move and am planning on writing a script to make it real easy for myself and my co-workers. If it's already been done, I don't want to waste my time.

yeah. i guess the idea is that the vw bug is less expensive to fix and maintain than the rolls royce.

I have developed a script in Java which would move table data from any database to the one you like.

I can send it to you if you want. All you have to do is to install the Oracle driver and the MySQl driver, provide the IP address and the socket information.

Let me know if you need it.

Hello, I'have the same trouble converting Oracle to Mysql,

Why don't you make GPL your tool, to Read Hat or Mandrake. Everybody could use it and improve it.
