Dump data from Sybase to MySQL

I have a dump data file in Sybase format. I'm not sure if it is binary data but whenever I try to view it, it shows weird characters. May I ask if there's any utility in Sybase that can convert those "binary data" into text format ? So that I can dump it into MySQL.

Well, going from Sybase to MySQL, if I may say, isn't a good move under any circumstances but if you're really in need of such a utility I'd ask on the MySQL lists..

Some advice, read up on the major differences between Sybase and MySQL. You'll regret it if you don't, I promise..

Ok, there is no equivalent to "mysqldump" in Sybase ? This is a good reason to migrate to mysql 🙂
