Do the OCI functions from PHP4 work with Oracle 7.3?

yes, I have an oracle 7.3.3 server running on Digital Unix OSF1. I can connect from apache (Win98) and IIS (Win2K) using the extensions php_oracle.dll and php_oci8.dll with php 4.0.3 pl1.

I have a linux box (SuSe 6.3) with an oracle 8i 8.1.5, apache 1.3.12 and php 4.03 pl1. Using the client from linux i can connect to the oracle 7.3.3 server too.

That's great. Maybe you could answer another question. I have Oracle 7.3 running on an Unix AIX box, and PHP4 / IIS running on a NT box. How can I access Oracle usinf PHP from NT? Is it the TWO_TASK environment variable?

Hi Rogerio
If you install a client for Oracle
in Nt and you configure the SQL-Net to
connect with AIX-Oracle then
you put at the ocilogon for the third parameter the name for the alias you have
created for the AIX-Oracle in NT in
tnsnames.ora (Yoy have to start the listener
in AIX)
