Decryption of passwords

I did a search for this, but nobody ever gave out a straight answer when anyone asked. So here it goes again... What is the code to print the decrypted password in a MySQL database?

What did you do to encrypt it in the first place?

When you insert any text into a table using PASSWORD('secretpass') as part your insert statement the string 'secretpass' gets converted to something like this:
'glbalk6762kafgam56'

This is fine ... but sometimes we may want to mail a password to someone who has forgotten it, at such a time how would you
reconvert 'glbalk6762kafgam56' to
'secretpass'

Using the Mysql password function you can't. However take a look at the encode and decode functions. These require a 'salt' to encode the data, which is used to decode the data as well. If someone reads the script that does the encoding for you and finds your salt, then it's essentially useless. But you can decode it at least.
