MS SQL and PHP 4.0.4 ?

Any body try to connect PHP 4.0.4 to a Microsoft SQL 2000 server???

It works fine with MS SQL version 7 so I was just wondering before I upgrade to SQL 2000...?

I haven't, but if you have problems, just use the odbc interface.

I haven't tried it with 4.0.4 yet, but I currently have a very large database-driven site running on PHP 4.0.3 using an MS SQL Server 2000 database, and it works flawlessly. If you're running PHP under Windows, just remember to copy the php_mssql70.dll to your Windows System directory and modify php.ini to load it as an extension.

I am trying to connect to ms sql 2k but I keep getting this error:

Warning: MS SQL message: Login failed for user 'waiter'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. (severity 14) in F:\InetPubVirtual.11\wwwRoot\dev3\test.php on line 25

Warning: MS SQL: Unable to connect to server: localhost in F:\InetPubVirtual.11\wwwRoot\dev3\test.php on line 25

my line 25 is this:
$link = mssql_connect("localhost", "waiter", "");

waiter is a username which has no password.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
