How do you add a variable to a table that exists

How do you add another field to a database that exists already without screwing anything up?

And once i add it, do i have to fix every sql statement?

If you get your info using the mysql_get_rows() method then you'll need to update your sql...ir you use the get_array() method then you'll be ok.

You shouyld try using phpmyadmin from www.phpwizard.net so you can add and delete as many rows as you want without having to telnet in or hard code, etc.
