SQL database support for PHP ?

Since there are many databases for internet use, can PHP support SQL? Which database is effective for PHP language?

The most common database used with PHP is MySQL, but it has support for many others including PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, etc... It also has support for ODBC to connect to databases that way. Look on www.php.net for more information...

SQL Database I point out prviously is the Microsoft SQL Server. Can Microsoft SQL Server be supported by PHP?

Just because Microsoft has choosen to call it's database Microsoft SQL Server, does NOT meen that SQL has anything to do with Microsoft!

The SQL (Structured Query Language) is a standard (ANSI) for accessing data from a DB.
