How can I protect my mysql password

How can I protect my mysql password in the php files from the other users in the same server. As you know, each php file should be readble for all users.
Is their any simple way to protect my passwords ??

That's a server problem and not a PHP problem. Your server should be set up in such a way that other users cannot access your DIRECTORY. If you host doesn't provide this, look elsewhere.

The files in your are are you files, only you should be able to view them.

IF they are in thw www directory then anyone via the web can see them but if your using php the code will be parsed first thus hidding thr password.

No body else except the server admin should be able to view your files, if they can and you can view others there is a serious security problem!!!
