Compiling PHP without Oracle on my Server

I have a problem:
I want to access a remote Oracle Database (8.15 I guess) with PHP. But my PHP does not understand ocilogon(). (Call to unsupported or undefined function). I tried to compile PHP with Oracle support but it won't work because I don't have the Oracle Database on my machine and the install script is looking for the Oraclefiles.
How can I make PHP connect to an Oracle DB ?

You need the Oracle client libraries to compile PHP with oracle support.
You don't need the complete Oracle distribution nor an Oracle database in order to compile.

If he Oracle server and the server which run php are runnig the same OS you can retrieve the client libs from there.

and Oracle Client (connect to Oracle Server 8.1.5i).

You need Oracle client libraries for windows which are distributed on the "Oracle Client for Windows".

To compile under unix use : configure --with-apache --with-oci8=[ Path to Oracle home ]

I'm not sure how to do under window, but you need to specify the path to oracle include files and path to the oracle library for the linkage step in your compiler options.
