Is PGSQL good to store images?

Hi,

Is it good to store images with Postgres? Is it recommended to keep things in the file system, or to have the images in the db itself?

With Postgres you can save images there but maximum size of field is 8KB if I remember it right. I recommend MySQL if you don't need all the functionality that PgSQL has. (Transaction can be used in MySQL with Berkeley D😎

The recent versions of Postgres have gotten rid of the 8k row limit..
